A Message from AANR Midwest President Richard Quigley
The 2020 Summer Convention may have been cancelled as an in-person event, but our AANR-MW Meetings will be held online soon, including the General Assembly, In Board and Out Board meetings, and Elections. CLICK HERE for the Agenda for these meetings.
Here’s what you need to know:
I have received requests to move the July 21st & 23rd afternoon AANR-MW Summer Conference meetings to the evening. I think this makes sense. I believe we could/will have more participants in the evenings. There are some who will be joining us who are not retired. Convention is cancelled and so are their vacation plans. With that in mind, I want to include as many AANR-MW members as possible at all of these meetings.
Our 13 state Region is in 2 time zones. We will start the Meetings at 6 pm CDT / 7 pm EDT.
Meetings should take no more 90 minutes. There will be no breaks needed with online meetings.
To facilitate these online meetings, we will use GoToMeeting and post login information here when it becomes available. Please check back closer to the meeting dates. It should be easy to login from any laptop or similar device or your cell phone.
A Newsletter for all AANR-MW members will come within days for those who have signed up. To sign up for this newsletter, scroll down to near the bottom of this page.
I had a wonderful 75-minute GoToMeeting Tuesday evening this week with Susan C. & Rick M. regarding the success of their 2020 Kids Kamp at Cedar Trails. They will give the General Assembly the same presentation.
32 Children and their parents participated. It is unreal the medical staff they assembled and were present
throughout Kids Kamp. Rick and Susan had a doctor, a nurse, and EMTs present at all times. They will show us all the medical equipment and supplies they have assembled to ensure the kids safety. I highly suggest we implement some of these ideas at our next Summer Convention.
Bids for the 2020 Fall Conference and the 2021 Summer Convention will still be due by Tuesday the 21st at 12 pm EDT. Email your bids to our current Convention Chair Christine t ChrisConnery@Gmail.com. As a backup, please also email your bids to firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline.
Covid-19 put a damper on my many AANR-MW Club Visit plans in 2020. I have contacted many of you online or via cell phone, and will be contacting more clubs in the next two weeks.
We have 5 people running (so far) for 2 open Board positions. (Note: There will be 3 open Board positions if Kevin becomes President.) Here’s the current slate:

Fred R. – Cedar Trails
